Pierre Dechant
Pierre has performed regularly with the Cambridge University Chamber Choir and Harvard University Choir, as well the choirs of St John’s, Clare, Trinity, and Gonville and Caius Colleges. With these choirs, Pierre has made many recordings, and has sung at the Salzburger Festspiele, the Munich Opera Festival, Bordeaux Opera, and the Barbican Hall, London. This year Pierre has sung Bach’s St John Passion with Polyphony and the Academy of Ancient Music, and has taken part in the University’s 800th anniversary celebrations. Pierre will join Stile Antico at the Boston Early Music Festival, and will sing at the BBC proms. He studies singing with David Lowe and Stuart McIntyre. Despite his singing activities, Pierre hopes to finish his PhD in theoretical cosmology this year.
