Pierre Dechant
Pierre Dechant (chorus: tenor) is a member of Downing College, Cambridge, where he has obtained degrees in Mathematics and Physics. Having taken up singing as a cathedral chorister at the age of six, he has since performed with a wide range of ensembles including the Cambridge University Chamber Choir, Harvard University Choir, and the Choirs of Gonville and Caius College, St John's College, and Clare College, Cambridge. Solo appearances include numerous churches and cathedrals as well as BBC evensong and commercial CDs. He is a member of the newly formed octet Cantus Cambridge. Pierre currently studies singing with David Lowe. He is working on a PhD in Theoretical Cosmology.
