Carline Smith
Caroline Smith (chorus: soprano) started singing at an early age, participating in a variety of musical ensembles throughout secondary school. In 2004 she performed a solo concert of opera arias in a local church, raising over £1,000 for the Asian Tsunami appeal. In summer 2005 she toured Slovenia as a vocal soloist with a brass band, and attended an international choir-conducting course in Germany. In September 2005 she took up a choral scholarship at Clare College, Cambridge, and has since toured extensively with them, and made several recordings. Her first performance as a concert soloist was in March 2007, when she sang the mezzo-soprano solo in the Duruflé Requiem in Ely Cathedral.
